From the reviews

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calming and welcoming. Dr. Jokell took the time to really listen to my concerns and explained everything clearly before starting. The treatment itself was so relaxing, and I noticed a real difference afterward!

Acupuncture has helped me in many ways and both Dr Choi and Dr Jokell are excellent providers. From the moment you walk in to the clinic you are made to feel welcome and Yuna is always helpful with check-in/out. The treatment rooms are immaculate and comfortable.

I found Good For Life when I tried massage therapy to relieve my tight shoulders. I love the warm atmosphere at Good For Life. It begins with Courtney’s cheerful, welcoming smile. With acupuncture, Dr Jokell has expertly relieved the muscle pain in my shoulders.

★★★★★ — Susan, Dec 2025

Highly recommend the team at Good for Life! I came in for massage and acupuncture and could not be more pleased with my results. Dr. Jokell explained how acupuncture would help my back pain. He was kind and patient throughout the visit, which I appreciated. On a separate occasion, I had the best massage by Genevieve!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
