Why Goleta Acupuncture Wellness Clinic is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “points of certain meridians to release blockage and promote the free flow of qi, which, in turn, helps to stop pain and cure diseases. What clients say about the cupping here
“Doctor Wang is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, tailoring each session to suit my specific needs and overall health.”
From the reviews
Doctor Wang is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, tailoring each session to suit my specific needs and overall health. She also recommended me great supplements that actually work for better digestion. After I moved to the Bay area for 6 months, I still couldn't find any acupuncturist like Doctor Wang.
Dr. Wang has been an integral part of my fertility team, helping me get pregnant and now stay pregnant for 5 full months thus far. After losing two natural pregnancies and journeying through 4 rounds of IVF egg retrievals, I am THRILLED to be successfully carrying a strong, healthy baby girl.
Dr Wang is a wonderful Practitioner. She is highly skilled and intuitive when applying her treatments. She has changed my life for the better, when no other western doctor could help me. The fact that she's always booked, it's the best testimony to her expertise and hard work. Thank you Daijing Wang!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
