From the reviews
I have had several massages and one acupuncture appointment at Giving Tree. As soon as you enter the building, you can relax. The staff has done a great job creating a calming environment and experience. Each masseuse has listened to what I want from my massage and has asked any questions they might have.
Such a great place to get your massage. I have been hhere 3 times already. Everyone is really nice and the massage therapist really listens to your trouble areas and really massages the knots out. I'm always super sore the next day but it really helps me out with my sciatica.
Jennifer is the best! I had pain in my neck and could not turn my head, look down, etc for days. My muscles were so tight and sore. I had almost no hope in this week long pain ever letting up, and I am so thankful that I was able to get relief after just one session! She is a godsend and she really changed my life!
I have been going to giving tree every time I am in Chiang Mai, I started going to giving tree back in 2017 and got a P2 with my friends and fiancé and we fell in love since, I have then visited back in 2023 and 2024 ( during my wedding).
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
