I brought my son to Lissa after 2 different hospitals and 4 specialists could not tell me what my son had. Lisa was not only able to tell me but in just one visit, he started to get better. Needless to say, he is a walking billboard of what she is able to do. I cannot speak highly enough of her.

Joan Nordhagen is magic. After one session with her, I was able to climb stairs for the first time in three years without putting one foot first and bringing up the other behind it. The pain I had on my side for 6 months after pneumonia is gone. I highly recommend her. She worked magic with me.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
