I came to Melissa for acupuncture to help treat my depression, anxiety, kidney stones and low energy. She listened with compassion as I went through my health history and she developed a specific treatment plan for me.
Melissa is the third accupuncturist I've worked with and, by far, the best. If there were a 6-star rating, I'd give her one. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, kind, gentle and is highly invested in giving the best treatment possible. Her treatments are pain-free and extremely relaxing.

I had never had Acupuncture before working with Melissa and I was more than a little queasy about trying it. I knew that not all practitioners of any healing art are created equal and, if I was going to let someone put needles into me, I would have to feel very confident of their ability.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
