From the reviews
I had an arm that was going numb on and off because muscles around the nerve were pinching it due to tightness. I had stopped exercising it for months and it had gotten somewhat better. I had a massage therapist and chiropractor who were helping me avoid going from bad to worse, but I wasn't improving from bad.
When wet searching for a massage therapist I wanted something more than just a regular massage. After I messed up my shoulder due to the tension I hold in my neck, shoulders, and upper back, I had Gina to physical therapy and they would stretch me out in a way that relieve my headaches.
As an avid runner, cyclist and triathlete, I’ve been getting massages for decades. When I first heard about stretch, I thought that's something I should be able to do on my own. But the truth is that I almost never take time to stretch. Working with McKenzie has been fantastic.
Flexus has been life changing for me! McKenzie is great! I injured my back 12 years ago and I have had constant pain since. I tried PT, chiropractic adjustments and traditional massage without significant improvement. After my first session the pain was gone for the first time in over a decade.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
