What clients say about the cupping here
“I've seen her weekly for the last few months, and she has helped me with so many different issues: back/neck/shoulder pain, hip/knee joint paint, insomnia, anxiety, digestion and overall immunity.”
“She's incredibly kind, non-judgmental, and supportive while also being extremely professional and discerning.”
“She's very responsive to your issues, really listens, and doesn't try to upsell you a bunch of stuff (I've had that happen with other acupuncturists - herbs, etc).”
“If her warm greeting doesn't put you at ease, the lavender scented room, cucumber water, and just plain peaceful ambiance of the room most definitely will!”
“From the very first visit, it was clear that her practice is a true extension of her heart.”
“I felt heard when explaining my issues she was very knowledgeable I did the feedback and education.”
From the reviews
I was referred to Feather & Leaf Acupuncture for the back tightness I would get on my daily walks. I was hesitant at first and i found, through my own referrals after my visit, that many tend to be of these methods of healing. I was approached with a warm welcome by my now, oftenly frequented, Acupuncturist Jessica.
I found Jessica through instagram and I hadn’t received any acupuncture in a couple years. I was blown away by the service and attention to detail, as well as the empathy and active listening that Jessica has as an acupuncturist.
I have seen several wonderful acupuncturists over the last few years so when I say Jessica is the absolute best, I really mean she is THE BEST! I'm so happy to have found her practice in Long Beach.
I had some back pain from a car accident about 10 years ago that dominated my life. I was referred to Feather and Leaf acupuncture to see if it would help. Being a little fearful of needles, Jessica the acupuncturist assured me that I would feel no more than a pinch if that.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
