From the reviews
I've been attending the instructor-led morning classes at Evolution for over a year, and I must say the experience has been outstanding. The sessions are thoughtfully structured week to week so you get the most out of your workouts over time without hitting the proverbial plateaus.
I’ve been attending Fitness Classes at Evolution Darien for about five months now, and it has been an incredible experience. Having spent my life in sports, martial arts, and CrossFit, I’ve seen it all—I even originally met Brian through PT sessions needed because of CrossFit!
Grace is a consummate professional. I've been working out with her for only a few sessions, but I can already feel the difference in the specific area that we are trying to strengthen.
The team at Evolution Physical Therapy has helped me deal with arthritis in my knees and build strength and improve balance. They listen carefully, are very knowledgeable, adapt the exercises to my needs, and explain why the exercises they recommend will address whatever issue I have.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
