From the reviews
Amazing service! Marisa is so knowledgeable, experienced, and personable! Made me feel super comfortable. Would definitely recommend cupping and any of her other services.
Marisa is honestly such an amazing Acupuncturist. Not only does she provide amazing service, she genuinely cares about her clients. If you choose to get services from EnerQi best believe you are in good hands!
I've had reoccurring back issues due to the physical nature of my job. Instead taking a pharmaceutical route; I decided to try acupuncture. Honestly, it was the best choice! Marissa is super professional but also very friendly and helped allay any concerns I about acupuncture. After my first session, I was hooked!
I’ve been struggling with back pain for four years and had to make major lifestyle changes because of it. A friend recommended acupuncture, and at that point, I was willing to try anything—so I booked an appointment. I’m honestly amazed at how effective it is. I can feel relief during the treatment itself.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
