Why Emily Keaty Acupuncture is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “the time to get to know me and I told her about my other issues like the appearance of my C section scar plus the wrinkly skin on my belly, acne scarring on my face, weight loss and she introduced me to micro-needling, cupping and ear…” source →

From the reviews
Emily is fantastic! I have been having serious issues with my hands not functioning properly. I could not form a fist with either hand and tendons would lock up cause severe pain to fully straighten my fingers. After only 2 sessions I have regained about 80% use of my hands and only minimal pain.
This is my 7th month of regular acupuncture treatments with Emily. Both of my patellas slide around quite a bit and I have found that acupuncture has really helped heal and lessen the pain of my knees- which I have re-injured on multiple occasions.
Emily has a gentle needle touch with a powerful effect. She has treated me for various sports related injuries on several occasions that resulted in awesome relief.
Emily is incredibly insightful and well versed in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I feel instantly better after each visit!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
