From the reviews
Some friends recommended Elevate to me after my reverse total shoulder replacement surgery. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at home. Amie at the front desk always called me by name when I arrived. I was assigned to Justin, and from the very first session I felt comfortable in his care.
I've had recurring low back injury/pain for as long as I can remember. I tried chiropractic care for years. Justin at Elevate PT in Johnston helped me to physically and emotionally heal. He listened to my worries and helped me strengthen my muscles.
I worked with Justin to rehab my knee after knee replacement. On day 1 we went over his goals for my recovery and then he asked me about mine. I had 2 goals- to get back to the gym and to rehab my knee to avoid manipulation. Justin helped me met both of those.
Tamie Drees is amazing! I had multiple needs for my body, including hip misalignment, neck pain, recovery from mastectomy and reconstruction surgeries from several years back, and lower back pain. Tamie addressed all the areas I was having problems with at a rate that worked for my body.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
