It’s been a while since I treated myself to a massage but I needed to do something for my stress. When I called to make my appointment, I was asked multiple questions about my past experience with massages and what I was looking for. After listening, I was matched with David to be my therapist.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing massage this afternoon at Elements Massage West Ashley! Everything was great from start to finish! It's a nice office. The staff is very friendly. Got into the massage room quickly. The tranquilness with the blue lighting creates a pleasant environment.
I have had many, many massages over the years. I can't speak highly enough about Ilaina at the West Ashley Elements. She was wonderful. She has great technique, and she really listens. She was able to find trouble areas beyond those I indentified and, when I came back to earth, I felt great.
GO TO GIGI!! This was my first time here and it was AMAZING. Gigi did a great consultation was professional and made me feel so comfortable! I got a full body massage focusing on my tension spots and It was genuinely the best massage I have ever had.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
