The front desk staff are so awesome. They made sure I held my appointment despite being waylayed by a crash on the interstate on my way there (stand still traffic made me take an alternate way). Bree, my therapist, is amazing.
Amazing job by Matt- I’ve had upper back pain for years, managed mainly by muscle relaxers. Pressure was great, didn’t feel pain but knew he was in the problem areas because I could feel the issues as he worked on them. Can’t wait to go back again and keep working on these areas.
Depending on what level of pressure you want, and who is available, I have had good experiences. My favorite masseuse, who I used frequently, left and I am now trying out several others. Waiting room is nicely decorated and peaceful.
I almost hate to recommend them because they are so good and I want to keep them all to myself :). but that wouldn't be fair, or honest. I've worked with at least 2 therapists regularly enough to be very confident in offering a recommendation. Scheduling staff is friendly, efficient, and very helpful.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
