I have been working with Elements Massage, and specifically with Josh at their Hilliard location, for years. Josh is great at not only remembering the ongoing issues for which I receive massage therapy, but also at checking in at each appointment and tailoring my experience to particular pains or troubles I'm having.
I always have a positive experience at Elements. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing from the time you walk in the door. Everyone is always extremely professional. Top notch massage therapists and I love the monthly membership. It’s one of the best parts of my month!
Front desk workers were very nice, easy to talk to. Ambiance when you walk in was very soothing and calming. During my massage it was nice that I was asked if the pressure level was good or not at various times. I came out of my massage feeling relaxed and ready to take on the day. Would highly recommend.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
