What clients say about the cupping here
“Listens to her clients and I always feel well taken care of during our sessions.”
From the reviews
January is amazing, truly the best massage therapist I have ever been to! I’ve been having regular massages for years, and she really knows the body, knows the right amount of pressure, and works with a lot of attention to detail. The cupping has helped my shoulder area so much!
January is an amazing therapist and person! She is very knowledgeable and intuitive in her treatments. Listens to her clients and I always feel well taken care of during our sessions. I have received lots of massages in my lifetime and January is my favorite.
My son originally started seeing January for massage therapy and she became instrumental in his recovery. It wasn't long after that my entire family began seeing her. January has such a deep knowledge of the body along with an innate inner wisdom that makes her such an amazing therapist!
I’ve been the luckiest to have January as a healer/masseuse in my life for over 3 years now. She’s such a gift and integrative wholistic healer. January continually works on her craft and makes this world a healthier and better world place to be with her amazing gifts. Forever grateful that our journeys crossed paths.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
