From the reviews

My first experience with cupping and it was really helpful. I have daily shoulder/neck pain and I had a noticeable difference in movement the next day. Heather is very gentle and it's a relaxing experience. I plan to continue

I have seen other acupuncturists over the years but NONE compare with Heather. She is meticulous, informative, professional and kind, and she has created a space for the work that is caring and safe. Heather considers every little detail, from the softness of the sheets to the music or sounds she offers to play for me.

★★★★★ — Katharine, Oct 2024

Heather is a wonderful acupuncturist. I came to her a month ago with a very painful case of dequervain’s tenosynovitis. I have had it since August 2022. I wore a brace and iced the area as per my doctors suggestion.

★★★★★ — Kellsie, Feb 2023

This was my first time getting acupuncture and Heather made it easy. She was warm and welcoming, professional, and easy to talk to. I went in for fatigue and foot pain and honestly didn't know what to expect.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
