From the reviews
Thank you Dr. Saleh for your efforts that helped me managing my back pain and left shoulder blade. He is good on acupuncture and wet cupping. I come all the way from the bay area once a week to see Dr. Salah because of his great work.

I saw dr. Tawfik Saleh in his office in Hayward and now I go to Modesto for my biweekly acupuncture and chiropractic visits. I like him and his staff because they listen and help me every time I go there. I love his new office in coffee road. It is very relaxing
I went to Dr. Saleh because my hand has been hurting for a week and he was very assuring. He worked on my hand and treated me with acupuncture needles. In 2 treatments I felt 100% better. I recommend Dr. Saleh to everyone who wants to feel better!
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Dr. Tawfik Saleh, DC, LAc
Dr. Tawfik Saleh, DC, LAc comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
