I love this place! Dr Amy is my doctor and she is excellent at what she does. She understands and is able to explain easily what Chinese medicine and European/American-based medicine have to offer. If anyone is hesitant on trying acupuncture, please take the moment to read this. For the past two years, I spent a significant amount of time and money on appointments, tests, and procedures at traditional doctors’ offices, only to end up with no real answers or relief.
My First acupuncture experience. I came to this Facility thinking I’ve had back pain and leg pain for 5 months. They can’t possibly help me. Well 5 treatments later I’ve gone from severe pain to very moderate. I can do things I couldn’t do a few months ago. I’m using my walking cane very little.
Dr Ly has been treating me for six months and my pain is much better now. She is extremely knowledgeable about Chinese medicine and treatments and acupuncture. She is very attentive, honest and listens to you and gives you her best evaluation without any false promises.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
