I have visited numerous chiropractors looking for a true holistic approach and always fell short. Chiro visits were short, only focused on the one area of pain, and didn’t offer much support aside from just moving the joints. Dr. Krussel, on the other hand has exceeded my expectations!
Dr. Kris is an amazing chiropractor!! As far as chiropractic doctors are concerned I believe she goes above and beyond for her patients! She also offers alternative options a general practitioner wouldn’t think of like acupuncture & cupping (think Michael Phelps).
I have been seeing Dr Kris for about 10 years. When I first saw her I was wheelchair bound and used a hospital bed in my living room that I spent 95% of my time in at home. I started off seeing Dr Kris 3 days a week for acupuncture and chiropractic care. In one week I was able to use a walker.
This is a very belated positive review of Dr. Kris. She is a wonderful acupuncturist, and offers excellent health advice to her clients. Dr. Kris is a wonderful resource toward bettering your health.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
