From the reviews
I've been seeing Dr Kong on and off for about 20 years. He is expert in dealing with chronic pain, and he has also helped me with skin issues like psoriasis. I struggle with headaches as a result of early life surgery, Dr Kong has completely resolved this issue.
Dr. Kong is the absolute real deal. I came to Dr. Kong after having hurt my hips doing martial arts. I was roughly 31 at the time, and struggling walking without a cane. I had resigned to never doing martial arts again, as I thought the damage was so severe that it wouldn't be possible. Dr.
I have had chronic sciatica and hip pain that never goes away, all day, every day, for over 2 years. I have been to physical therapy, I get regular massages which has eased it temporarily. Yesterday, from recommendation of friends, I saw Dr. Kong for the first visit, for acupuncture.
After experiencing extreme back pain and spasms associated with multiple compression fractures, I contacted Dr. Kong for relief. With Dr. Kong’s expertise in acupuncture, my pain and spasms greatly improved after my 1st treatment and I was able to stop my meds. Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
