From the reviews

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gavin since 2019 for chronic pain as well as issues occurring through two pregnancies and post-birth recovery. I’ve had many great experiences with a variety of practitioners but few can compare to Dr. Gavin’s breadth of knowledge and skill set.

★★★★★ — Jennie, May 2025

Gavin is my first call when my body starts to give me signs that it needs attention. His treatments have included massage, acupuncture, cupping, herbal treatments, and even remote sessions and videos for self-care (which were amazing during COVID).

★★★★★ — Ben, May 2025

Dr. Gavin Garcia is the best acupuncturist I've been to! His session is amazing from start to finish. From the assessment, visceral manipulation, acupuncture, cupping, CST, herbs, and a massage at the end. My nervous system is revitalized after each session.

★★★★★ — Michelle, May 2025

Dr. Garcia is a comforting blend of expertise and professionalism with a warm bedside manner. I have had instant shifts from pain and discomfort in my gut and neck to relief in only one of our visceral manipulation sessions. That has happened in multiple sessions and it’s why I make it a habit to go once a month.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
