From the reviews
Bridget Puchalsky is a wonderful acupuncturist! I have been getting treatments from her for over 9 years. This review is long overdue, truly. Bridget is professional, kind and caring. I highly recommend her for acupuncture, cupping, and more.
Bridget is incredibly educated and enthusiastic about acupuncture, cupping, herbal remedies, and a wide range of healing modalities. She is kind, professional, respectful, and very good at what she does. She goes the extra mile during every treatment I've had with her over the last 18 months.
Highly competent and caring professional! Through acupuncture, cupping and her extensive knowledge of Ayurveda, Bridget is able to help her patients become a healthier, more balanced version of themselves (and her yin yoga classes are wonderful!) 10000% recommend to anyone in the Bay Area.
Bridget is an excellent acupuncturist and would highly recommend her. She delivers acupuncture and cupping with the greatest of care and ease. Thank you Bridget!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
