What clients say about the cupping here
“She's able to find the areas which need help (in some cases, areas I didn't even realize were hurting), and release the tension built up there.”
“She hit so many of the right points and even did some cupping therapy which I didn’t know she did and had been recommended to me by two medical professionals.”
“It was the first time since a prenatal massage that I alternately relaxed enough to zone out and at the same time felt the muscles, tendons and fascia being worked deeply.”
“Amber's yoga training gives her the perfect perspective to address the physical body, but also the mind-body connection.”
From the reviews
Amber is an incredibly gifted and intuitive body-worker. Some of the finest massage I have ever received. Thorough, professional and competent. She might throw in plenty of wonderful hot towels/pads throughout, or a lovely mix of added modalities offered (Ashiatsu, Cupping, Energy, etc.).
I'm an LMT myself, and I can honestly say Amber at Divine Lotus Massage gave me one of the most nurturing sessions I've ever received. Her energy is so grounded, steady, and calming—you feel it the moment you step into her space.
I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but felt I needed to for this business. I had a 60 minute massage with Amber and it was AH-Mazing. It was the first time since a prenatal massage that I alternately relaxed enough to zone out and at the same time felt the muscles, tendons and fascia being worked deeply.
Amber is an amazing massage therapist. She layers many different healing modalities like sound, aromatherapy, cupping, deep understanding and knowledge about the body, and is extremely intuitive about her touch. I highly recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
