I had an extreme sciatica nerve pinch in my left leg. Devine Health Spa was recommended to me by a friend. Ronnie was very knowledgeable in treating my problem with "cupping". The spa was clean, comfortable and calming. I look forward to exploring other options.
After a long weekend of drinking and partying on the beach we were looking for a relaxing activity to unwind and detox. I googled local spas and health services and stumbled upon this little gem.
I couldn’t recommend Devine Health more! I quit smoking after 13 years and was met with bronchitis pretty quickly afterwards. Jeanene quickly offered her knowledge and help after offering to help with a lung therapy to get everything moving out of my body.
My husband is a firefighter and was feeling the affects of the smoke he was expose to at work so we treated ourselves to a couples special and it was perfect! The extra special touches of a romantic gift bag and flowers, went a long way with us. The room was clean and comfortable.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
