I’m only 6 weeks out from my right knee replacement, and the progress I’ve made already has genuinely amazed me — and my doctor. At my follow-up appointment, he was impressed by how far along I was, and I owe so much of that to Anusha at D&D Sports Med.
Seriously, D&D has been God send. I had been dealing with major arm pain for over a year and finally decided to bite the PT bullet. The office is run like a well-oiled machine and therapist have all been wonderful. I wouldn't be back to almost 100% without them! Week 1: Ugh, do I really have to do this? Such a drag.
D&D sports medicine was an excellent place to do therapy. I’m from Blue Springs Mo and was in Aubrey for one week for the birth of my 4th grand baby. I had a TKR 2 months prior and was having difficulty getting my range of motion back.
My 16 yr old daughter broke her tibia playing soccer. She has been completing her PT here, mostly with Anuysha, and loves it. She looks forward to coming and enjoys it so much. All the staff are very kind, knowledge and attentive. It has been such a great experience for her.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
