From the reviews

I had been having headaches with tight painful muscles in my neck and shoulders for over 2 months. My doctor wanted me to get a brain MRI to rule out brain cancer. While visiting my son in LA, I searched online to find a massage therapist.

I’ve seen Vivian twice now. She is very talented. At my more recent massage, she released my psoas which is deep inside the pelvis behind the abdominals. My hips and back are so open and relaxed and I’m able to work my muscles more effectively in my activities. Highly recommend her for deep work and myofascial release.

Vivian is excellent. Personalizes treatment to your needs. I tend to like deeper pressure and she can take me to my limit or just gentle and relaxing if that’s what you prefer. The hot stones and cupping are a great aspect as well.

Vivian is an amazing masseuse and I will definitely go back. First of all, the parking is so easy. The place was easy to find and parking was ample. I got there a little early and was able to discuss with her the issues going on with my neck, shoulders, and upper back.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
