I’m not saying Alex is a miracle worker…but who am I kidding? Alex IS a miracle worker! We were in an auto accident about 1.5 years ago. My husband has and Physical Therapy and Surgery and neither resulted in pain relief from the injury he sustained. He’s been seeing Alex for about 2 months now.
Cotee River Massage & Skincare employees act are extremely skilled as well as being friendly and caring. The facility is very welcoming and relaxing, and is always well maintained. Overall the experience from start to finish is phenomenal. Renee seems to understand my skin.
You guys! This is not a regular massage therapist- in the best of ways. So I had a mysterious thing going on with my arm and shoulder for 3 months now, that's been significantly affecting my life. I've been to chiro and spine specialists with no relief.
Alex Messier of Cotee River Therapeutic Massage is outstanding. After my total right knee replacement surgery, the pain was not only in the new knee area, but also an excruciating nerve pain that was running along side my leg and down through my foot. Alex listened intensely. He was very understanding and determined.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
