I had a 1 hour session with Sarah and it was honestly life changing. I had a series of sports injuries I neglected for a long time and Sarah was able to work on each location while explaining what she was doing and the interworkings of my muscles. I would recommend her services to everyone. Absolutely amazing.

Jessica is amazing. She does a great job of making me feel relaxed. She listens to my requests, and even more important, she listens to my body. She is able to find my tense spots and work through them. I am training for another marathon this fall and Jessica is the most valuable part of my running team!

★★★★★ — Rachel, May 2018

Jessica is amazing! I love the atmosphere and energy she has created in her space. Her staff is friendly and caring. They always offer me a glass of water when I get there, even if I'm there to see Dr. Barton. Jess has helped me so much with my to feel better and become more active.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
