I just wanted to refresh my review. I wish I could write a new review every time. I can’t express how stubborn I am with getting help sometimes. My last two chiropractors I called.. yes for emergency visits, but they were painful and didn’t help.
Living in a small town has its perks, and finding a fantastic chiropractor like Dr. Scott is definitely one of them. This practice has a real small-town feel – friendly, welcoming, and focused on getting you back on your feet (or should I say, spine!). Dr. Scott is a true professional.
Chiropractic care can be intimidating because of the unknown. Dr. Scott is so very knowledgeable and has decades of experience. And it is very apparent in his teaching moments at every visit. He does a great job of making me feel like I am his most important patient when he is treating me.
I totally recommend Dr. Scott and his office. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly and there's always great music being played. Aside from the great environment, Dr. Scott's knowledge and ability to teach and inform you about what is wrong and how he is treating it is second to none.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
