From the reviews
I switched to this PT place simply for the outstanding reviews it had gotten. I’ve gone to a few others in the city and this is by far my favorite one. I personally go to see Anthony Bui. He is the best physical therapist I’ve had in all my years. He is very knowledgeable and understanding.
I can truly say, I have the most compassionate therapist (Jonathan) ever. He takes the time to listen, provide the best care during each session. The staff is very welcoming when you first walk through the door (Janay), greets you always by your name. I just love the physical therapy team their the best.
I am very grateful to the staff of the Metairie Office. I am 77, have never exercised in my life, and could not walk without debilitating foot pain. My son who had been treated there convinced me to seek treatment. I was very hesitant and even uncooperative on the first visit.
I’ve been attending Comprehensive Therapy for my rehabilitation following two knee surgeries, and I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far. Janay, the patient representative, has been a tremendous support in coordinating my care.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
