From the reviews

Excellent service & care. Christie has helped heal my body after falls, colds, and daily life stresses. Her skills also support my energy fields by helping to support & clear my chakras. She is all about Mind, Body, and Spirit and how these integrate for a whole person. She is intelligent and intuitive.

★★★★★ — Deborah, May 2019

A very healing and zen atmosphere from the moment I walked in to the time that I left. Christy's technique is one of the best I have experienced. Her understanding of the systems and how it all interrelates is why I give this practice a 5 star rating.

I look forward to my acupuncture treatments every other week. Christy is amazing and helps with everything that I bring to her. She is a great listener, and I leave feeling refreshed every time. I have been a client for many years and I highly recommend Coastside Healing Arts!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
