I have been going to Kim for a few years now and used to get the traditional hot stone massage regularly. However, my new favorite massage is the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. It is so much more that a "hot stone massage." The warm pink Himalayan salt stones go beyond warming and relaxing the muscles.
I have been to many massage therapists and Kim offers a world-class treatment! Not only are her expertise and professionalism evident, but she also has intuitive pressure and includes amenities like hot stones, a warm sandbag, and a towel over the eyes that create a really luxurious and thoughtful treat for myself.
I have had massages nearly half dozen times last 12 months. This was my very first experience with Kim. I chose her for ashiatsu massage, my very first. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
