I don't like writing reviews on first visits but I just had to. I normally drive to Chinatown to get a good deep tissue massage with cupping but I don't like the drive there and back. I wanted something closer. Google suggested this cute spot. I came in on a Thursday, I forgot her name but I love her!
I had a wonderful experience at Classic Massage, and Linda was an incredible therapist. I booked a long session to help me relax before a big exam, and it was exactly what I needed. I started with a 90-minute full-body massage that included reflexology, hot stones, cupping, and acupressure.
I tried this massage parlor for the first time today and the service and environment was very amazing. 😳 I have tried many massage stores before and this store is the beeeeeeest!!! The two masseuses were very professional in their techniques and helped me improve my muscle soreness.
My first visit here easily made me a returning customer. I have visited a few local places, and felt very uneasy through the experiences. This was the complete opposite. I was warmly greeted when I entered, the initial entryway was welcoming as well as it was home-y. After choosing my massage I was escorted to a room.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
