From the reviews
This has been my introduction to Tai Chi and Qi Gong and I’ve loved learning the practice from Chris Tucker. Chris effectively addresses many aspects of the discipline that are important to me - movement, balance, core strength, breath work, meditation, striving for inner calm in a turbulent world.
Chris Tucker is the best acupuncturist on this planet. I've been treated by multiple acupuncturists (all great) but there is a remarkable difference with Chris. He has an intangible talent to decipher exactly what is going on in your body and a wealth of knowledge to treat it.
I have been doing private Tai Chi with Chris for the past six months, and I really enjoy it. It is peaceful and relaxing. The slow movements help me stay focused and calm throughout the day. Also, Chris has a peaceful and zen way about him that makes every session feel comfortable and welcoming.
I have been taking tai chi lessons 2-3 times a week from Chris Tucker for several years and I highly recommend them to everyone. These classes have been instrumental in my being able to maintain my strength and balance as I get older. An additional bonus, I enjoy my fellow students and look forward to each class.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
