From the reviews

I have been a patient of Dr. Cathay Fung for over 15 years for my chronic medical condition. Dr. Fung has gone above and beyond with her acupuncture, cupping, and herbal treatments to keep me feeling my best.

★★★★★ — Mary, Nov 2017

Dr. Fung is my physician, she has been for almost ten years. I trust her. I follow her advice, and I take the herbs she prescribes. If she say I need acupuncture treatment, I make the appointment and follow her protocol. She has helped me through a variety of health conditions.

★★★★★ — Dana, Nov 2017

Dr. Fung has been treating me for years for relief from symptoms related to menopause. I've been free from prescription drugs for over 5 or 6 years now and thanks to her my hot flashes are nearly imperceptible. I take the herbs she formulates every day.

★★★★★ — Melissa, Jan 2020

My mother saw doctor Fung about 3 years ago for relief from her terminal cancer symptoms. It was the only thing that made her feel better, so I wanted to provide a review, although very late. Dr. Fung was compassionate and did everything she could to help my mother, but did not charge a lot.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
