From the reviews

I’d had long Covid symptoms for a couple of years. Memory issues, foggy brain and depression. I kept thinking they would eventually go away and I’d be back to my old self but it just got worse.I was suffering and so was my marriage. I felt I was loosing my mind. I’ve never been much of a cryer until this happened.

I have been going to Carolina Family Acupuncture for almost a year. Dr. Britta has been my primary acupuncturist. She is very knowledgeable and personable. She has helped with menopause symptoms, GI issues, cold/virus/allergy symptoms, as well as intensive work on old trauma stored in the body.

★★★★★ — Jacqueline, Mar 2024

I've been a patient at Carolina Family Acupuncture for nearly two months and they keep bringing out different stuff to make me feel better. I'm in for a long term renovation but I begin to notice improvements with their treatments. I want a speeding pill lightning in a bottle,.

Dr. Dawn is AMAZING! I was not sure about acupuncture in the beginning, but it has changed my life for the better. Having lower back and sciatica pain, this has really changed my life in nothing but a positive way. She listens to you and then works her magic with them little pointy things..

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
