From the reviews
I'm so, so grateful to have found Canopy Clinic! Kelly and team go so above and beyond to be a true care team. I first came for help to manage a decades-old but lingering neck/shoulder injury, which Kelly has made virtually unnoticeable with treatment.
Fantastic experience with Kelly and Canopy Clinic. Kelly is a very skilled massage therapist and I’ve been working with her for a few years and it’s been a great experience. Kelly took the time to get to know where I needed the attention and then gently, yet firmly worked her magic.
Recommended by a friend and I will be back!! Now we have nearly half a dozen people from work who are frequenting Canopy Clinic, so far. Everything was great and relaxing and I feel taller and my posture is noticeably better after only one visit. Massage was great and so was the cupping.
Kelly is a highly skilled massage therapist. She always uses just the right pressure and incorporates techniques like cupping and Myofascial release that I find super helpful. She has helped me work through some chronic pain and always has great advice for self care I can practice at home. Can’t recommend more highly!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
