From the reviews

Michelle is FANTASTIC! I came to her with a neck spasm and through a combination of deep tissue massage, acupuncture, and cupping, she effectively worked the tension and stress out until I felt hugely better. She gives powerful, deep tissue massage which is exactly what I need and appreciate as an athlete.

Oh!!! Michelle Connair is blessed with the hands of a goddess! I began going to accupuncture in December, 2017 for pain control. While I still have pain, accupuncture has helped some and so I am convinced that accupuncture that has been around for hundreds of years has helped me.

Michelle is a healer! She is knowledgable about acupuncture, massage and nutrition. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed and the price is right too. Can’t say enough good things about her. :)

★★★★★ — Ruth, Jul 2019

Michelle is wonderful ! Neither Physical Therapy nor chiropractic treatments worked as well as what Michelle did to deal with my lower back and thigh pain. And as a bonus, a very nice person!!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
