From the reviews

I purchased bundle right before shelter orders here in Michigan . Only able to receive one but it was fantastic and healing. For me, massage is top of the list in importance to maintain well-being. Can't wait to see Amanda again soon. Highly recommend .

Best massage therapist ever. Amanda is well educated, experienced, and her level of professionalism inspires confidence for folks like me that need massage therapy but feel ambivalent. I highly and unreservedly recommend Amanda.

I have some pretty consistent issues in my neck and shoulders due to past car accidents, and I also travel the world for my work. Amanda is literally one of the best massage therapists I've encountered in the entire world.

★★★★★ — Melinda, May 2020

A HUGE thank you to Bowen Wellness Massage Therapy for getting me back up and running!! The past five days I have been non functioning with back spasms that sent me to the ER. I was to the point of not being able to walk, let alone work. My options were narcotics, which goes against my ideal situation.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
