From the reviews
I’ve been going to Heather for about 3 years for acupuncture and cupping. Even when not experiencing any pain at the time, I still find my session satisfying. I leave so relaxed and in a calm state of mind. Going to Heather will not only help with your aches and pains but also your mental health. Highly recommend!
I have experienced treatment from three other acupuncturists. Heather is by far the best. She uses a variety of traditional practices such as cupping, needling, moxa, and massage. From headaches to back pain, or plantar fasciitis to knee pain, I always leave her office feeling better.
I highly recommend Heather she helped me tremendously through long Covid symptoms for 2 years. The acupuncture and cupping helped the most with my nerve pain, digestion fatigue and other symptoms. She’s always kind and professional. She’s very intelligent and wise about the entire body and overall wellbeing.
I was experiencing a great deal of pain in my hands from arthritis. I tried prescription medication, creams and OTC patches. Nothing helped so I decided to try acupuncture. Within a few sessions I noticed improvement. I no longer need to take medication or use prescription cream! I am practically pain free!!!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
