From the reviews

This was my first massage ever, and I am so glad I chose BTMS for the experience. Debra gave me the most amazing and relaxing massage. Although it was my first time meeting her, I can confidently recommend her to anyone seeking an excellent massage and a wonderful therapist. I will definitely be coming back soon.

I love this hidden gem in Rochester. Having many massages in the past, there is no comparison. From Deb's years of experience she knows exactly what my problems were! I definitely recommend Body Therapy Massage and Spa! *****+ 1

I weight train five days a week and have tried countless massage therapists over the years, but no one compares to Rose. She has an incredible ability to dig deep into the muscle without causing pain, which is rare to find.

★★★★★ — Deanna, Oct 2025

I've been fortunate to have received the benefits for years of therapeutic body massage and also shiatsu from Jerry at BTMS. Jerry always takes the time to first discuss how you're feeling and any issues or areas of concern he needs to be aware of. He really tends to what your needs are.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
