Why Beijing Acupuncture Clinic is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “ge, health, and condition. An infrared medical heating lamp is also usually used during treatment to improve circulation in the area of treatment. Additional traditional Chinese treatment techniques like moxibustion and cupping may be used…” source →

From the reviews

I started seeing Dr. Liu after finishing up chemo and radiation for breast cancer. I was aching everywhere and also very fatigued, but after a few appointments I felt significant improvement. After a few more appointments, I felt great! At the encouragement of my oncologist, I have continued to see Dr.

I've been going to acupuncture for 10 years now. And when we moved to PA I was looking for an acupunctureist and I went to 9 different ones before I finally tried Dr. Liu. Acupuncture is very beneficial, it changed my life and I can't see myself without it, but it must be accurate in order to be effective and Dr.

★★★★★ — Dafna, Jan 2025

I just did a series of ten visits with Dr. Liu for a specific issue, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to be treated by her. She's professional, kind, and caring. The office is exceptionally clean, the young woman handling calls, scheduling, etc.

★★★★★ — Angela, Sep 2025

Dr. Liu has really changed my life! I was sick for a few months with a stomach ailment that required me to take very harsh medication to treat the issue. The issue was resolved but the medication caused even more problems leaving me with a very stressed and dysfunctional intestinal tract.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
