From the reviews
Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, physical therapists, aides and staff create the perfect healing environment. Anna, Ellie, Annie and Hannah are all excellent therapists who take the time to get to know you and create the best plan for successful treatment.
Bay State Physical Therapy (Haverhill, MA) has been really great! The young lady at the front is welcoming, personable and friendly. Anna, physical therapist has been incredibly helpful. She listens and hears everything I say. She expresses her concerns, empathetic and truly cares about her patients.
I was extremely nervous to start pt, but the entire staff is so kind and welcoming. They encourage you to get stronger in a way that isn't overwhelming, but motivating. Anna remembers every detail of the issues with my knee, what helps and what hurts, which hurt is helping and which hurt to avoid.
I saw Anna for pelvic floor therapy after having my first baby and she was incredible. Not only did she completely fix the problem I was having; she made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend Anna enough for pelvic floor rehab!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
