From the reviews

I am so thankful I chose Bay State PT for my pelvic floor therapy! Julie is amazing - hilarious, knowledgeable, and understanding. I’ve made significant improvements in just my first month of PT with her. I highly recommend her for prenatal and postpartum pelvic floor health!

The physical therapist at Bay State, are knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to get you back on the road to recovery. I fractured my ankle in April with twin ligaments. Having worn a cast for several months the swelling had not gone down as much as expected.

★★★★★ — Mark, Aug 2025

Julie Fox is the best PT in Massachusetts. This is my second time back to see her. I feel better after every visit. Her skills and confidence reassures me that I will be successful in my recovery.

I had Julie as my therapist for pelvic floor work. She was wonderful! Very professional, knowledgeable, as well as personable. She made me feel completely safe and comfortable with the very intimate work at times. And I am much improved. This establishment is well run, clean, and hires exceptional therapists.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
