I have been actively treating with BASIS medical since September 2020 for physical therapy treatment and chiropractic care. They have been nothing but kind and compassionate while providing top level care. I cannot thank the Doctors and team for helping me relieve my pain.
I can’t say enough great things! From start to finish, the entire experience has been seamless. Johnny deserves major recognition for being endlessly patient with me and helping me feel so much better every session. He’s incredibly attentive and I can tell he genuinely cares about making me feel stronger.
I had the unfortunate experience of being in a car accident, but it led me to discover the incredible team at Basis Medical & Aesthetics. From the moment I met Dr. Gabe, I felt genuinely cared for—his kindness, attentiveness, and thoughtful approach were truly comforting during a difficult time☺️ Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
