I visited this spa in Fort Lauderdale back in October, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with professionalism, care, and genuine attention. The receptionist, Samuel, was absolutely amazing—very informative, welcoming, and professional.
Barehands Spa is the real deal. Everyone claims to be the best, but few actually deliver, Barehands Spa absolutely does. The customer service is top-notch, and I highly recommend Maria and Yovana. Their deep tissue sports massage and lymphatic massage are hands-down the best I’ve experienced in the Weston area.
Today was my first visit at Barehands and this will definitely be my new place for massages. I had surgery a week ago and I needed the lymphatic drainage massage and I had the honor of having Yovana and she was absolutely amazing. So patient and kind and the massage was to die for. I felt a million times better.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
