Let me start out by saying that, like many of us, I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. At times, this weight turns into the triangle of hell with a consistent, ever-present pain from my neck toward my shoulder and across (under) my scapula back toward my neck.
I utilize acupuncture care throughout the past 20 years. Dr. Xiong is the best Naturopathic Doctor/Acupuncturist I have ever had the pleasure to be treated by. I could not lift my left arm to the side without being in pain. After several treatments I am almost 100% back to normal.
I took my mother to Dr. Xiong today and I was so impressed! I will start with the office staff. They were so kind to both me and my mom and made sure we understood the policies of the clinic. We met Dr. Xiong and right away I knew he was really listening to my mother's health issues. His bedside manner is impeccable.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
