We’ve been seeing Dr. Shara for chiropractic care for a few years now, and it has been a truly wonderful experience for our family. When our first daughter had her oral ties released at three months old, we were thankfully referred to Dr. Shara for bodywork.
Dr. Shara is one of the most caring health professionals I’ve met in my life. Dr. Shara has an uncanny ability to explain complex health issues in a way that relates to non-health people. I never felt dumb or insecure about anything in her office.
Went in for pregnancy care around 37 weeks, specifically the Webster Technique in an effort to encourage a flip from breech to head down. I had two sessions and was relieved that baby was head down in time for induction!! Avoided a c-section and credit the chiropractic care as a contributing factor.
Absolutely fantastic! Dr. Katie & Dr. Shara routinely make it so I can keep my small business going after my back goes out. They are both miracle workers! I’ve suggested this office to many friends and they all love them too!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
