From the reviews

Dr Michelle Boyd and her staff are exceptional and extremely knowledgeable. I began going to Back in Balance when I was in a bad place with my body and mind. Dr Michelle spends every second of her time with you easing your mind while also listening to you and your body.

Dr Eumi and the entire team at BiB are absolutely amazing! I’m a veteran who has been suffering from back pain for years and was at first hesitant to try chiropractic intervention. However, one day the pain was so bad I was willing to try anything and have been a client of theirs ever since.

★★★★★ — Cody, Apr 2026

My family and I have been patients at Back In Balance for more than 10 years, and we highly recommend their practice. My first visit was to help recover from ACL surgery, and the care I received made a significant difference in my recovery.

★★★★★ — Katie, May 2026

Dr. Brian and his staff are exceptional. They are professional, attentive, knowledgeable and charismatic. Dr. Brian has worked tirelessly to address my gut and hormonal issues. I am so grateful for his holistic approach. Steve the massage therapist is fantastic too. Really effective and always leave feeling better!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
