From the reviews

Since starting at Back2Health, Rockville Centre, I have felt NOTICEABLE relief. After years with a different chiropractor , with little progress, my daughter recommended this office. The doctors, the massage therapists and entire staff, are so professional and capable. I feel so much better. Thank you all.

If you were ever afraid to go to see a chiropractor, this office is the place to go. I read the reviews and took a chance, and THANK GOD I DID!. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted with joy, kindness and concern from the lovely front desk staff.

My husband and I have been going to back to health for a year now. We love everyone there so much. They do everything, they align your spine, massage, offer pain relief, acupuncture and genuinely care about your well being.

★★★★★ — Sabine, Jan 2022

I have been a patient for many years and have always found Dr. Heffron and his staff to be consummate professionals. My care continuously is reviewed, updated and customized to meet my needs and to maintain good posture and alignment. Dr. Heffron and staff go above and beyond for his patients.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
